Ways to respect yourself more.

“don’t lower your standards for anyone or anything. Self-respect is everything.”

Have you ever find yourself putting your own needs on the back burner while you focus on being nice and giving to those around you?

There is no dought that it’s wonderful to show kindness to other people, most of us often don’t take the time to give ourselves the same amount of self-respect, or love that we give to other people around us.

We often don’t take the time or energy to truly take care of our minds, bodies, or spirits. To some of us, this can mean different things for individual people.

Maybe for you, it means not setting aside time for the hobbies you enjoy when no one is around, not eating healthy foods to nourish your body fully, going through days on very little sleep, or being too hard on yourself and not respecting the value you give to others.

Showing respect to yourself isn’t a waste of your time and energy at all. The truth is it’s the best way you can invest in yourself. Showing respect to yourself allows you to recharge your energy and life force allowing you to feel more energized and alive. As you can see it’s a win-win for everyone.

Allow me to share a few things you can do to show more respect to yourself in the areas of mind, body, and spirit. My goal is to help inspire you to show more respect for yourself and live life to the fullest.

The world needs a more awesome person just like you.

 

Your mind

1. Read a book

We don’t know everything, so it is important that you’re reading a book that makes you think in a different way that inspires you to take action towards your life goals.

2. Unfollow anyone on social media

Some times social media can have a negative influence that makes you believe that you’re not good enough.

3. Keep a list of encouragement

Life can take a tow on us, this is why you need to keep a list of encouragement that other people gave you. It will help support you when you have a bad day.

4. Practice deep breathing

Most of us are always on the go with our everyday activities. Knowing to take deep breaths throughout the day helps you lower your stress level and keeping a clear mind so you can focus on the things that matter.

5. Taking a walk or run

Our body needs oxygen to function at its peak. Walking or running outside helps your body increase the ability to take in more oxygen. This gives you the fresh air that allows you to think more clearly.

6. Make a list of healthy changes

Everything around us always changing. You need to make some changes to help you be accountable and focus on respecting yourself.

7. Unplug from technologies

Many of us don’t get enough sleep due to the constant use of technologies. Unplugging from technologies for at least an hour before bed. It helps your mind to unwind relax for a night of good night’s sleep.

 

Your body

1. Stretching for at least 10 minutes

As we get older and busy with work and everything in between. Our bodies can become stiff or out of balance. By stretching for at least 10 minutes helps your body to move and function at their full abilities.

2. Pick up a few healthy habits

Having a few healthy habits will help you elevate your health to be more healthy and function at your best.

3. Lift weights

As we get older our body needs to be strong to do everyday activities. Lifting weights allows your bones and muscles to be strong.

4. Sleep

Studies show that our body recovers and repairs itself when we are sleeping. Getting a good night of sleep is a great way to recover and release stress.

 

your spirit

1. Asking for help

Asking for help from others can be scary when you need it. Offen, we tend to think that we bothering other people and don’t want others to think less of us. The truth is, most people like to help because they know what’s it like to not get help.

2. Keep a notebook of gratitude

Keep a notebook of gratitude, and write things that you’re grateful for that day. It’s a great way to show that you are enough.

3. Have a vision board

Vision boards are a great way to keep you inspire and something to look forward to. It’s easy to lose sight of the things we deeply desire.

4. Write down things

Keeping a list of things that you had accomplished that day to remind you that you’re doing good things. This is a great way to build your confidence.

5. Hangout with like-minded people

The people we hang around the most is super important because we become who we hang around the most. In psychology, it is called conformity. Having people who think and going in the same direction in life as you will help you get to your life goal faster.
